In order to spice things up, I’m updating the banner to my home page. It’s something that I’m hoping to do every month. So, look up.

For the past couple of months, I’ve been working with writer Neil Kleid on a book for NBM. It’s called The Big Kahn and, to quote Neil, it’s about: “what happens when a rabbi of forty years dies and at the funeral, his family and congregation discover he’s been conning them: he isn’t even Jewish. The story follows the family’s struggle with grief, betrayal and their faith as the town begins to examine them.”
It’s a great little book, 172 pages. And it’s been a great and challenging experience so far. The book will be finished soonish, to be published late this year or early next year. Here’s an inked panel that I like.

Recently, Yali Lin’s and Hyeondo Park’s books have been getting some press. Yali has done a couple of interviews, and some of the articles are here, here, and here. Two weeks ago she, along with writer Adam Sexton, gave a talk in the Folger Shakespeare Library in Washington DC. You can read about it here, or Yali’s account here. Congrats Yali!
This weekend, Hyeondo, Yali and Hamlet artist Tintin Pantoja, are signing books at the New York Comic Con. If you happen to be in the con, be sure to stop by.
Friday:
Hyeondo Park 5-6pm
Saturday:
Tintin Pantoja (Hamlet) 11am-12pm
Yali Lin (Romeo & Juilet) 2-3pm
Adam Sexton (writer) 3-4pm
